Vacuum filter location
I just finished rebuilding my AC programmer, and it works fine now, new
vacuum solenoids from cadillac unit, etc. My question is, where do I
insert the in-line fuel filter in the vacuum source line? I have an 86
5000CST, and the vacuum system plumbing is slightly different from that
shown in the TSB. Which vacuum line does the AC system source its
vacuum from? Should I just insert the filter in the rubber hose between
the intake manifold and the check valve which leads to the vacuum
accumulator? I want to prevent the oil mist from spoiling my new
programmer!
By the way, thanks to those who informed me of the correct connections
of the colored vacuum lines. It turned out I had these correct, but the
bowden cable became kinked last weekend when I re-installed the heater
box after replacing the heater core. I straightened it, and everythings
fine now.
