Letter to Dan S. (suggestion)

Dan and list,

I just did some searching through the archives in the hopes that someone wouldn't have to re-invent the wheel for me.  The list of archives is almost 2/3 
of a meg and I was wonering if it wouldn't be too much trouble to break it down a little.  Perhaps onto 3 or 4 month bites.  My first thought was by 
year, but the list seems to picking up production-wise.  Even when I click <back> it takes a noticable amount of time to read the page in from the cache.

I'm not knowledgeable on web page matters so I don't know how reasonable (or unreasonable) this request is.  Just an idea.
