I only remove mine when it looks like it really needs to come off.
Then I use a large channel locks. One good squeeze, pick up the big
pieces, use the air hose to get rid of the small ones. You are now
ready to put the new one on. For what they cost, they just aren't
worth fighting with. Not to mention all the twisting, tugging
bending, cursing that the distributor is subjected to.
