re: hard shifting tranny
Did anyone have any ideas on this loosing lower gears?
My 87 4KCSQ is also beginning to go this route. When the
same happened to a Fiat X1/9 (yes, I had a bout of insanity
in an earlier life) I lost gears quickly until I was driving
everywhere in 3rd gear. (You live like that with Fiats.)
When I got it in for repair, it turned out the shift rods were
busted and had almost decended into the gears... Narrowly
escaped scrambled eggs. ...Hoping that's not where my 4KQ is
headed.
