The aluminium tabs are generally good for two or at most three recrimpings 
before they fatigue.  The O-ring typically lasts much longer than the rest 
of the I'cooler.   I think that if you prepare the aluminium very well, 
and use a good quality epoxy, that might be a good way to restore an 
I'cooler to usefulness.  I would try it.
