Parting a 89 100Q or fixing it?
I just came across a car, that is wrecked and which I can get
cheaply, or so I think.
It's a 89 100Q, light blue, with blue velour interior (non-sport).
Heated seats, power, memory, working. Dash, console, climate
control, all excellent and seem to work.
The body is fair, as the paint has a lot of scratches.
The front end hit vs a tree claimed the hood, fenders,
lower right rocker panels below the rear door.
The frame is certainly bent, possibly fixable.
The engine only has 93k or so, supposedly has a new clutch.
It turns over, crank moves, but does not start.
So... if you're interested in the car as a rebuild (my
brother in law might be, but not sure) or if you think
you want parts, tell me now so I don't buy this
and have to spend the next year parting it out.
Here's what I think is worth getting, without including
the engine and front end:
- 4 BBS factory wheels, look good, with decent Nitto rubber
- complete interior in nice shape, soup to nuts including
climate control, power, etc
- center driveshaft, rear diff, tranny
- rear clip, rear suspension
Any interest? Again, 89 100Q non turbo. The turn signal
stalks are identical to the new style ones in my Coupe,
so it's probably a late 89.
I can decide on this on Monday, but just in case anyone
is reading email over the weekend...
