RE: Wanted: oil pan upgrade for I5???

I am sorry but I am coming into this just a little late. Are we
talking about the 7A engine?

I have seen several different oil pans while trying to figure out how
to solve my 3B dilemma. It would seem that it was a matter of mood
that determined what baffling Audi decided to use. I even got to
peek into the pan of a Sport Quattro. Well the real reason I got
to look at the inside of the pan on the Sport was that it did not
work very well and was removed from the car. The answer, as you
mentioned, is a bit of custom work. I was only trying to cover the
time it would take to clean, fabricate, pack and ship an oil pan. It
would seem that a few took offense at this and I subsequently dropped
the project.
