Bose Adapter

Friends, just fyi.........

In general, I am a Crutchfield supporter.  However, unless they have 
improved their adapter which permits replacing Bose radios with 
normal radios, it probably will not satisfy a listener who wants 
really clean sound.

NOTE: this information is dated about mid-1996.....but at that time, 
they had a new adapter, and I tried two of them - also spent at least 
90 minutes on their 800-help line working through various fixes.  I 
was not able to eliminate some buzz and noise from the adapter which 
was audible at the speakers.  The sound might have satisfied an 
"average, casual listener"...but I know of few of those on this list.

With this on record, I note that they may very well have improved 
this adapter in the past 18 months, and ALSO that it is returnable if 
it does not work acceptably.  They are very good about returns for 
such reasons.
