Pearl '89 200q For Sale

Listers: My pearl '89 (early, single knock sensor car) 200 quattro is on
the block. My reason for selling? Need money and my '86 turbo, while a
great car, is not worth a dime.

 Particulars:

128 k
black sport seats
JVC CD player in dash
MOMO Club 3 leather wheel and Elegante wood/chrome shift knob
MSW Type 55 wheels with Bridgestone tires (about 15 k left on tires)
New head/valves and lifters in last 3 k to finally solve recurring stud
breakage problem. (head is new from Audi of AMerica, not a rebuilt unit).

New, unused Lloyds mats with "quattro" embroidered on them.

Third owner, I've put 18k on the car (the owner before me had it for only
a year (put 11k on it), and I suspect he got rid of it because of the
stud breaking problem, 'tho he told me it was to buy a new a4. The stud
problem IS cured).

Work by second owner - new rotors and pads all around. New tires

Work by 1st owner - New pearl paint, car was in a collision, car was
entirely repainted (and very nicely indeed) so that paint matched -- I
had a 4 wheel alignment done by a very reputable frame shop, and they
said all work during collision repair was done correctly, and car was in
spec). New radiator, PS pump (since rebuilt again by Igor Kessel),
alternator, window motors in front.

New clutch and timing belt at 90 k, Boge turbo gas at 90k also.

Additional work by me: Gradual coversion to Syntec 15-50, Militec-1 in
all diff, crankcase, etc. new plugs and wires, cap and rotor, has k-40
laser detector (plate mounted), whistler 1490 radar detector, and
motorola factory phone. I upgraded to wood around the climate control
and ashtray, ala late model 200 q (thanks to Rob Winchell).

What's wrong with the car? Cruise control is intermittent, bulbs for
heated seats are blown (have spares), and need new switch for one heated
seat.

Car is a strong runner, pulls 1.4 bar uphill. No fault codes, 18-22 MPG

Price: $8500 or best REASONABLE offer. Many D.C. area listers have seen
this car (and Igor from PA) and I think you'll agree it's very nice.
Mosey on over to HBL to see the '90 200 they have for sale (for 10,200)
before you come see mine! The car has been garaged it's entire life.

P.S. I also have a set of Infinity 2000.5 speakers for sale. Bought them
several months ago from crutchfield to use in my surround system, but
they must go too. One speaker has been used once to see how they sound
compared to my DBX speakers. The other has never been used. List was
$629, cruthfield's price was $549. Asking $450 obo.

E-mail me privately if your interested in car/speakers
