Inoperable Odometer

Dear List:
	Thanx for the multiple suggested remedies for repairing my recalcitrant
odometer.  I have printed them out for future use - alas, my pounding on
the dash while driving seems to have (at least temporarily) done the
trick.  The odometer rolled past 164799+ and having made that threshold,
has gone on without a problem for another 20 or so miles (only miles
driven since "repair").  Thanx again for the suggestions.  I expect it
will only be a matter of time before I will face the problem again.
