What's a Comm. Ed?

  I got this white 4k with red leather.  I'm told it's some kind of
Commemorative Edition.  So I've asked around, nobody knows anything.  I went
to the dealer, asked the service guys, they didn't know.  However, the owner
happens to be standing there and laughs outloud.  He tells me it's
commemorating the fact that Audi ordered too many red leather interiors that
they couldn't get rid of, so they stuck them in a white car and called it a
"Commemorative Edition".  Anybody got a better version of what this is really
commemorating, if anything?
