Audi's win Auto-X

Went to the local Auto-X on Sunday.  I brought my 4kq for its third Auto-X
and two friends,  My girlfriend with her brand new 87' 4kq and my friend
Adam with his modified 5ktq, both for their innagural run.   I was forced
to run in SP-D due to my +1 tires but still was only about 1 second off
the Golf that WON the class.  It was lowered, had BFG-R1 track tires, and
was pretty well modifed.  I was pretty stack in comparison.  Give me tires
and I can beat the guy I think.
	Becky, in her new Saphire blue Metallic 4kq, Won the ladies
division as fastest Woman of the day and one the H-Stock class, albeit she
was the only one in it.
	Adam won the SP-E?? class.  Again he was the only one in it but he
was also the fastest Novice beating out Backy in second and a Guy in an
Acura Integra for third.

Beckys stock 4kq handled pretty good for stock but could of been even
faster but she took it easy (as we reccomended) since it was her first
race and a new car.  I'd hate to see her bend it.  The course was bumpy
and really taxked tyhe suspension.

	Adam took it easy with the 5ktq as well as this race was done on a
tighter track than we had hoped.  We usually run a road course but this
done on an oval with an infield excursion on to a very tight Go-Kart
track.  On the straights the 5ktq was fast with 1.8 Bar Courtesy of Scott
Mockery  but with a stock K-26 driving it, spool up in the 1.6 degree ehat
took forever.  The car handled wonderfully with the coilovers and Koni
struts but its limits were lo as tires have not been upgraded yet.  Stock
size D-60s are on it now.  THe car bottomed in the front with the springs
in front however so a longer spring is needed.

Also of Notable mention was an A4 1.8t that one the G-Stock class with a
fairly fast time.  Good dfriver and tires helped.

	Very modified SP class car.  Almost a Prepared Class Running
completely awesome Hoosiers in 225/4? -13 with  10" brakes stuffed behind
some interesting 13" wheels.

Turbocharged Datsun 510 27.0

Anyhow, a great HOT day for all of us Audi owners.  ANd a new steering
problem croppe dup on my car.  Seems to pause when starting turnin in
slalomns and hard transitions from one way to the other.  One more thing
to worry about.
