Re:Turbo conversation & drive vibrations
Sadly, it is more than just sliding a turbo engine in. In short (very
short) It requires droping the turbo motor in and doing exhaust plumbing
2) Hooking up CIS. IT wont fit. 5ktq unit is bigger. Must cut inner
fender to make fit.
3) Get bent RightLeft tie rod to fit around Wastegate.
4) Major wiring changes to wire in new ECU to the car. Must get After
Run Pump, Wastegate frequency valve, Injector cooling fan, Boost sensor,
etc, ect wired in. As I understand it, many of these wire into fuel Pump
relay and other areas on the ar in the Fuse Box.
?????? work out any other problems. Oh, and you lose your AC unless you
want more work to do. And finding a place for an intercooler is a problem
too.
I dont know about your vibration. Could be warped clutch disc if it
happens when letting clutch out. Thats my only idea. L8R
Oops, BTW, different engines require different extents as to what has to
be done. MC code engine best for cost/performance/ease ratio. 20v turbo
faster but 3-4 times the price and harder. KH is cheaper. Easier with no
ECU, same as MC with ECU but more HP than without. Still no MC though.
