Re: 255 hp Upgrade... This is more sensable... With 285 lb-ft of torque...

The famous 'murican muscle car phrase has been written:

<< there jes'ain't no subsititute for cubic inches! >>

I am sorry to say that as a motorsports fan I can't wholly agree and concur
with Martin re: turbocharging. For streetable oomph and drag racing
sure...cubic inches rule (and superchargers, and special fuels).

But...the most formidable cars in modern road racing history are turbocharged.
One great case in point...per the Speedvison History of Trans Am show, (I
believe ex-Trans-Am driver Sam Posey's quote) "the most dominant car in
Trans-Am history" was the '88 season 200q. 2.2L Audi turbo vs. Jack Roush 6L
V8's...we all know what won. (Mandatory Audi content ;-)...) The 917, the 930,
the turbo era F1 cars, the Toyota 1.8L IMSA GTP car...the list of turbo
dominance in road racing goes on and on. And let's not forget the fastest
closed circuit series cars in the world today are 3.?L turbo V8 powered. Even
though the turbo era F1 cars had no power band to speak of...they were the
most intense things to watch from trackside in qualifying I have ever seen.
