Hard to say...but I'm sure that there will be room for the 6 or so of them
that will show up. ;-)

Is that a for-real and organized thing or are you refering to my post from
yesterday? My thought was half-hearted and partly in jest.

show in the parking lot that BMW can ... they've got a lot more cars and
more owner clubs that have a much better organization. Does that mean that
we will be shamed by them? I don't think so! The BMW group probably outdid
Lotus when they were featured too ... but who noticed? >>
Well...having attended well over half of the past 24 years at the Monterey
Historics and my first car being a 1970 wmb 1600...I would have noticed. The
BMW group was smaller in numbers and of course the Featured Marque is given
prime real estate...it is up to us what we do with it though.
Facts:
wmbcca had no real strong organized presence at the Monterey Historics prior
to their "featured marque" year which was only two years ago.
No single car club corral has ever had more of a presence than a given year's
featured marque that I am aware of (haven't seen it happen). Lotus owners came
out in droves...there were scads of Super 7's, old Elites, Elans, and
Europas...not to mention the new ones. PCA and Ferrari Owners clubs often come
close though (and now with their "bandwagon" attitude BMWCCA as well).
>From what I can see, Audi enthusiasts seem to be somewhat segmented between
qcusa, the quattro list, and various regional clubs (the PNW quattro club and
NorCal A4 owner's club for example) along with the Audi Club (do they even
exist anymore?). My concern is that we all somehow pull together just like the
four rings we represent and have a strong showing at MH99. I am not sure how
best to do this if qcusa is the only "official" club invited to represent
Audi...but we must turn out in droves. Can anyone say "Audi-Fest 99 west"? End
of August next year...be there!
