OK, OK - knock it off.

However - with all the received wisdom about not leaving human sweat
and grease on quartz envelopes - has anyone definitive proof of the
results?

I ask because around a year ago an ur-quattro owner at the Area E
meeting complained that his H1s didn't work. Roger Galvin shot off to
look at the fuses and switches - I just checked the bulbs. Both were
blown, and looked rather like the old PF1 flashbulbs after they'd gone
off. The envelopes were all twisted and fly-blown.

When my bulbs go (170w - all too often) they just seem to snap a
filament and sit there. I've never seen envelope damage.
