Fixing alloys

Hi all,

Anyone know of a way to fix up kerbed alloy wheels? The kerbing is not too
deep, just a bunch of scratches in the outer rim (the bit the weights
attach to).

I've been thinking about using this aluminium-based filler, and then
respraying... the wheels have already been repainted once, and this won't
show I guess. Any comments?

Yes, my bad luck week... having been almost run down by a comatose Volvo
driver whilst on my bike earlier this week, today I had to swerve to avoid
a jerk who decided to change directions without looking, signalling,
braking... of course I hit the kerb, I had to avoid another car who swerved
for the same jerk- and the original miscreant had disappeared before I'd
disentangled my car from the chaos. The wheel touched the kerb only
lightly, and it seems to handle fine. I don't think the alignment has
suffered, but I'll have it checked anyway as I feel part of the somewhat
vague feeling in the rear is caused by the rear alignment being out.
