Re: UrQ brake bleeding
Andrew;
I just flushed the brake system on my '91 200q yesterday. I also tried
using a vacuum pump on the rear calipers with little success. I could
generate lots of vacuum ( moisture in the old fluid was vaporizing in the
cup at one point), but got little flow - I think the proportioning valve may
block the flow of fluid. I finally went back to the old tried & true pump
the brake pedal approach. This works OK for flushing because there is no air
in the system but sometimes takes a long time to clear air. A pressure
bleeder is usually the best bet for bleeding.
