Re: A6 Avant 2.8 quattro

Hairy green toads from Mars made Lawrence Bardfeld say:

In London over Thankgiving this last weekend, I read a London
Times car section review of the A6 and S6 Quattro Avants.

They didn't spend much time on the S6, except to say that it
was awesome, a true rocket that gave even the Euro M3 a run.
The A6, however, they raked over the coals. They called it a
sleeper in the sense that it put you to sleep driving it.
The suspension was mushy, the steering had no feel, the
interior was run-of-the-mill. I will admit that my '95 A6QW
does suffer from vague steering (which is better since I
unplugged the Servotronic) and a soft, beached-whale-like
suspension and tires. Those will get fixed next year with
some 60 profile V rated rubber and a set of Boges.

Oddly, the only thing they liked was the styling, which I *HATE*.
I think the new A6s are butt-fugly.

Oh well, to each their own.
