First Snow in Q

Kinda of in a good mood today. Been a year and a day since I
got my 80q. Had an ice storm yesterday in the Wash DC area.
Saw for myself what everyone has been talking about - quattro.

Yeah, it works, I'm impressed. Very impressed. I saw other cars
slipping and sliding. Saw a car in front of me, fishtail, spin
360 a couple of times and come to an embarassing halt. The q
just quietly did it's job, gripping the icy tarmac with all four
wheels. No fuss, no mess, just cool and calm in the cabin (in
fact, very cool since my heat does'nt work).

I heeded the list advice and did'nt take quattro for granted. I
drove at a steady speed respecting the weather conditions. On
the way, passed many mustangs and z-cars tentatively driving in
the far right lanes. The q continued, just gripping.

On the way to work this morning, I felt that traction on
an icy road. The car momentarily felt like it was losing its
grip, but then it came back. Happened a few times.
Amazed me how it recovered. I could never have felt this safe
and comfortable in my previous cars.

This is the experience I had been waiting for. If I had doubts
before, I have none now. Live long q.
