Sounds like you have some completely different stuff.  Mine is this thin,
kerosene-type stuff, kinda red in color, that you add to your oil for the
flush.  I changed out the oil first and used "scrap" oil haning around the
garage; figured it would yield better results.  I also added the flush 1/2
way through filling up the oil; I figured this would assure there was a
good helping of oil through various passages and not just motor flush
solvent.
