The best wiring diagram is in the Bentley. If your Bentley doesn't have
the wiring diagram, you're missing a volume. The older editions came in
two pieces (mechanical and electrical), the newer ones have it all in one
binder.
I've never tried to replace my pump but it should be at the front of the
bottle and access is the worst part of the R&R. I think it's the same as
most any VW pump. It's the a little larger than a D-cell battery with a
plug at the bottom and electrical connectors at top. Replacement is
popping the old one out and pushing a new one on. I've replaced a couple
on the rally car and never had too much of a problem with leakage in
re-using the sealing gasket as long as it was not all hard and brittled apart.
