S6 plus Sport wheels+tires

I finally received my new 17x8 S6 plus Sport option wheels and was trying to
figure out which tire size to use.  The factory uses 245/40 17's, but I
wanted to try a 255.  Has anyone had clearance problems running a 255 on an
S4/S6?  If 255's fit, what is the offset of the wheels that are used?

I also need any input on what brand/model tire to use.  Anybody tried the
Dunlop SP9000?
