That was me.  Phosphoric acid is the "magic ingredient" in most of the
common stuff.  It will keep the rust at bay until spring just fine.  Rust
never sleeps so you do need to treat it properly but I've treated gouges on
my old Civic and it hasn't rusted again in 3-4 years in some spots (some
rust spots appeared so I hit them again).
