Specialist job.  According to Martin Parker at BR Motorsport, loosening
the subframe bushes and seeing if it moves freely up and down the
threads is a good sign.  Support the engine if you do this.

Yup.  Service microfiche says that welding or bending of subframe
and control arms is forbidden.
