The distributor is held in by a bolt with a smooth protective "anti-tamper"
cover. Remove that cover and it's just a bolt. I think if you lock the
engine in position, then remove the bolt, you can just pull the distributor
like any other audi distributor. Mark the alignment of the rotor to the body
of the distributor, and then mark the body relative to the engine, and you can
install the new one in the same position. No BTDT, but ...
Are you replacing the whole distributor, or just the leaking seal?
