And what about paying service writers on commission?  One of my clients works
for a large Lincoln-Mercury dealer and his income in 1997 was $159,558 -- I
just checked -- and while I'll admit he consistently worked 60-hour weeks and
is a really nice guy, even he has a hard time justifying the amount of his
compensation with the value he adds to the whole car-repair process...

(There.  I feel much better now.)
