Ah yes, my "1998.5" A4 was built in 11/97, and my old "1990" Coupe Quattro was
built in 9/89 and sold in 11/89.  The A4s did come over here in late 95, but
you will never see one labeled a 1995 model.  The US has a crazy law that
allows automakers call these cars by the later year, and not by the production
or sales date.  American car companies are the worst at this, they will
introduce a car in the spring or summer of 1999 and call it a 2000 model.
That is way out of line, it's ok for Audi to smudge on a month or 2, but 6 or
8 months is totally different.
