I buy most of my parts from Autohaus Wellingborough.

If I buy an oil filter, they fetch it from the rack next to the counter,
disappear into the racking, come back with a crush washer and slip it
under the flimsy plastic cover on the end of the oil filter without
saying a word.  Just a kind of: "You'll need this too".

When I ordered the clutch master cylinder for the ur-quattro, the parts
guy automatically added the rubber hose - just like the crush washer with
the oil filter.
