Coolant filters

Excellent idea, IMO. I recently had to replace my auxillary coolant pump,
although it was only 4 years old. I disassembled the old unit and found
that the impeller was seized, because rust particles which normally flow
with the coolant actually stick to the impeller, which has a magnet inside.
I was first thinking about fitting a powerful magnet to the bottom of the
expansion tank and cleaning it periodically, but installing a filter sounds
like a much better idea. Anyone care to comment?
