Re: Audi racing

(warning, rant on...)

Yes, and what coverage there was, was pathetic. First of all, the 'Deuce'
(Dunce is more like it) doesn't actually go to the race until seconds
before the end because of soccer, well OK I can dig that. But when they do
get there, they have the 5th string guys who appear to have never called a
race before. The BMW LMR12 was awesome, fabulous car. But from these guys
you'd think it was the only car in the race... and certainly the only
'first debut' car. What makes a more interesting angle on the Beemer than
comparing it to the Audi debut happening in the same race, but these guys
totally miss it. Although the interview with Stuck was pretty good, that
was mostly because HE was interesting. Then as they tried to wrap it up,
they didn't have there sh*t together getting the drivers to interview, and
then had all kinds of technical difficulties from reception to not having
directional mics so all you hear are the fireworks going off... hmmm,
wonder why the non-nastycar motorsports don't have a bigger following in
the US, I can't imagine...
