Hi All!

I PROMISE that this is the last Merkur post I'll pollute the list with, but
there seem to be a few XR, Sierra, Scorp fans out there.

Side note: At the All Fords at Carlisle in '97, the XRs whupped the Mustangs in
Autocross.  In '99 only about a half dozen Stangs even showed up and the event
had over 50 Merkurs (even a few Scorps, which was pretty amusing to watch)  The
IMON (Intl Merkur Owners Network) took first prize for the whole weekend Fab
Fords event for most participants in a class (120).  Of course, Merkur was
treated as one big class, as opposed to about 5 different Mustang classes, etc. 
But we sure had a hell of a caravan from the fair to the hotel on Saturday
nite!

Today's driver is an '88XR with competition shifter, TC intercooler, momo
steering wheel and Ford/Sierra badging and god knows what else.  Swapped my 5spd
scorp with another Merkurian for the day..... Yippeee!
