92 100 CD Changer

Hi all,

	I have a 10 disc Blaupunkt changer in my 92 100CSQ.  The problem
is that when I press "mode", it does not switch to the changer.  My
mechanic checked for power at the changer and verified that.  I can't even
eject the cartridge.  I'm thinking if there is power to the unit then I
should be able to eject it even if the head unit is not talking to it.
Any suggestions or BTDT's.
