Re: Coupe GT Springs

In a message dated 99-05-07 03:26:58 EDT, you write:

the suspension, leading to excess stress, tire wear, and bushing damage?
This is a honest query, not a personal attack! [8^)

No more H&R's, out of production. To significantly lower using Jamex
springs, you have to purchace Jamex shocks, which are not nearly as stiff as
Boges. The Jamex suspension is strictly for looks. I had one in my Rabbit
GTi. Low, but doesn't corner as well as it should given the increase in
suspension. I had absolutly no problems with the GT that we cut the springs.
Two years later, there are still no problems. 3 years later, my roommates
91 GTi (which had my Tokico/cut springs after I wrecked my car) still has no
problems. Both cars ride and corner extremely well. Just my opinion. Abt
may still make springs for the GT, although I doubt it - I think that Abt
repackages H&R's. So that leaves Jamex or coilovers.
