Re: Air Flow Meter free play?

The spring doesn't contact the bottom of the plate unlesss I push it
down, that is why it seems odd. I though that zero position meant that it
sat on the spring, it doesn't seem to be. BUT once it is pushed gently
downwards when it stops it STOPS. It goes no further, not sure if the
spring is compressing as I push downwards or if when the sensor plate stops
it is contacting the spring and the springs isn't flexing. Maybe it's time
to pull the plate off the airbox and do some checking. Read some more and
go gently step by step, that's all I can do at this point. Should I get new
gaskets for the fuel line fittings on the distributor always?

Thanks!
