RE: O2 sensor readings
I'm going to guess the O2 sensor is just fine. You mention poor gas mileage.
How poor? Less than 20 or 22 around town? I'll go with my favorite poor
starting/higher fuel consumption/stumbling off idle failure mode.... Check
the NTC Temp sensor on the bottom of the manifold for the top radiator hose.
Just put that new digital volt meter in resistance mode. Look for around
2,500 ohms at 60 deg. C and lower resistance at higher temps.
Throttle closed and coasting isn't an interesting measure of the O2 sensor
since if the throttle position switch is working you are in decelerating
fuel shutoff mode.
