New to the list with lots of problems, 5ktq
Hello list,
First off I have to say that I have found a home in the list and even if I
have never met any of you, I love you all. Now to the meat of the matter.
Here is a list of problems starting with the most recent.
1. Green fluid on my floor mat. Smells like maple syrup in the car. not a
lot on the floor though maybe, 1/4 cup. front window fogs up but can be
fixed if I turn on defrost. Broken hose or bad heater core? Do heater
cores go out slowly or just bust and drain?
2. Hard start problem. Replaced the D-cap and rotor, new plugs, put in
K&N, wires are new, what else can I do? It sounds like a machine gun more
than a "Whirr-Whirr-Whirr" like the timing was bad. Gray smoke from the
tail pipe, smell gas if the hood is open(sometimes).
3. I was just recently informed that the normal high reading for the bar is
1.4(ish). I can manage to top mine off at 1.1 and I think I saw 1.2 once
but may have been wishing. Is this a turbo problem? Fuel Management? Or
should I not be concerned?
4. I seem to have developed an exhaust leak somewhere near the manifold. I
cant quite see the connection to the lead pipe but i'm assuming its at that
point. Big problem, little problem? is this associated with my Bar
problem?
5. When accelerating from a stop quickly there is a very audible sound from
under the center-line of the body. Its a knocking sound I feel under my
feet. It started in the rear of the car as only a sound now I can now hear
it and feel it in the front as well. It may be still doing it in the back I
just cant hear it over the noise in the front. Under those same
acceleration conditions the car hesitates and then picks again. Not Turbo
lag but more like loss of HP in the middle of gaining it and then recovering
it. I don't even know where to begin with these two problems.
I own the Bentley but I need to know where to begin in order to use it. If
someone could get me started i'm sure I could pick it right up. These are
all problems I was just stumped on (Except #1 that just happened this
morning and i've been looking at the Bentley all day) so any input is so
very appreciated.
