More on Ur-q door ring decals location

Hello again,
I thought I was done on this issue yesterday, but today I got a
different response.
I heard from a lister who actually measured his door rings and found
that his were installed much lower on the door than the 1.5 inches
that the template would have them. He measured and re-checked that his 
rings were actually 1/4 of an inch from the door bottoms.
Does anyone else think that this is a normal location? I am thinking
that the boys down at the factory might have done some differently
just for fun, but who knows.
