Very nice technical rally book, out of print, tough to find etc. It has some intimate details on the Audi quattro during development and competition up to mid 1984. According to the author: Audi Sport's Roland Gumpert supplied much of the competition development history, Jorg Bensinger fathered the quattro project and supplied early development info. R&D Audi chief Ferdinand Piech supplied the usual anecdotes. Dr. Fritz Inra who acted in a senior engineering role at Audi, supplied much needed information. Thomas Ammerschlager from Audi reviewed the manuscript to ensure technical accuracy.
