I don't know if you have the same orange digital dash as whats fitted to
my car, but mine gets brighter as more light hits it.
I think the sensor is in the left hand side of the dash pod behind a
little grill type cover. If I put my hand over this grill the dashboard
gets dimmer, or if I shine a torch in it (at night) it gets brighter.
Only when the sun catches the dash (which is thankfully unusual) do I
have problems reading the display, but even then I can *still* read it.
Might be worth checking out the value of the Light dependant resister if
you can get hold of the tolerance values for it.
On another note, MB engine owners, how far up the scale does your oil
temperature go, when your "making progress where others can't"? ;-)
Im getting to just over half way up the scale (130+).
