Mark,
It seems unlikely that the cap is bad. I guess you could either try a
new/used cap ot even plumb in a press. gage to measure the press.

I used a 3 inch length of 1 inch dia. copper water pipe to bypass my
turbo pump. You had to crank down pretty tight with the hose clamps. I
did alot of research on trying to find a cheaper pump but the antifreeze
combined with the temp. and press. made it difficult. I did find a March
pump that they said would work but there was no price advantage ($145
from Blau.).

I don't know of an adhesive that will seal that plastic housing. Let me
know if you are successful.
