      This is old news, we had a little discussion on this
      on the list here about 2 years ago too. The cars
      are most probably going to get serial numbers off
      of Chinese made cars, that way you can drive around
      in a real Audi, and not have to worry about the
      high taxes involved with an imported model. It'll
      be registered as a Made in China model.

      It is very common for certain cars to be in high
      demand in foreign countries.  One of the cars that
      comes to mind is the full size Impalas, certain
      Arab countries can't get enough of these, and there
      are several companies that deal exclusively in
      buying and shipping these boats.  Old Mercedes
      diesels are very popular in South America, high
      taxes and subsidised diesel fuel makes
      "transfering", or in some cases "cloning" the
      vin number to an American car the only way to
      go.  There are certain cars that the paperwork,
      ie legit documents, are worth more than the
      car itself, kind of like racehorses sometimes...
