"Reasonable and prudent" urq boost pressures
For those urq owners running higher boost pressures, what is the practical
limit for the WR engine before you run into fueling problems? 1.0bar?
1.2bar?
Is there a "recommended max pressure" among the QLCC group?
My '82 reaches 9-10psi max in 2nd gear @ 5000rpm. My assumption is that
this yields around 160hp, give or take a few percent. Does peak horsepower
increase linearly with boost pressure, or exponentially (until engine
meltdown), or some other function? Any ideas how much HP a WR engine
with 1bar of boost pressure would generate?
Thanks for bearing with my questions. Like the CGT, once I learn this
stuff, I will be able to reciprocate in kind.
