Arent insurance companies supposed to let ou get an estimate and then 
send it to them or somethign?  It isnt quite fair if they determine the 
amount of the damage is it?

Just like when i got the damage estimate on my UrQ at 6,700: new quarter 
panel, bumper cover, valence and some paint stuff...expensive car.  The 
head of the claims department asked me on the phone what car it was that 
got hit, i told her an 83 Audi Turbo Quattro Coupe, she said, oh my god, 
no.  I said, do you know this car?  She said, yeah, im a big audi fan, 
those thins are so expensive to fix.  She didnt even bat an eyelash when 
i told her the cost, she told me she would have the check to me within 7 
working days... not bad eh? heh
